Thursday, 05 December 2024
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jay Unwin, Mental Health in Business

This interactive webinar session, aimed at parents and caregivers of children and young people, focusses on supporting and enhancing parental well-being.

In this empowering session we will explore strategies to navigate the delicate balance of work, family, and self-care while fostering a supportive environment for both parents and children.

Objectives

Having attended the session, participants will be able to:

  • identify key stressors and time-management challenges faced by parents juggling work-life balance and caregiving responsibilities
  • develop personalised self-care practices, active listening skills and boundary setting techniques to manage potential emotions and prioritise individual needs
  • connect the dots between parental and child mental health, emphasising the reciprocal impact and fostering open dialogue on emotional well being

Jay Unwin

With a decade of experience in health, fitness and wellbeing, plus a former career in science education, Jay is extremely well-placed to simplify ideas which are often considered complex or overwhelming.
After burning out quite catastrophically on two separate occasions, Jay developed a mental and physical fitness philosophy to rebuild the strength of his body and mind, and to avoid slipping back down ever again.

This philosophy is now the cornerstone of what he teaches to leaders and their organisations around the world, including Frontier Economics, Christian Aid, the RAC and the University of Southampton. It’s all pinned on a few central tenets: accessibility, adaptability and efficiency.
Jay's mission is quite simple: to help as many people as possible improve their overall quality of life, through improved mental and physical fitness.
