Serious Injury Claims By James Arrowsmith, Browne Jacobson

Quy Mill Hotel, Cambridge
Tuesday, 11 October 2016
5:45 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)

Dealing with personal injury claims is an important aspect of claims handling work. This session will arm delegates with the knowledge required to make good early reserving and tactical decisions in serious injury cases. An insight will be given as to how these decisions flow through the later stages of litigation. The sessions will consider the tactical options available to claims handling businesses such as, rehabilitation, surveillance, expert evidence, dealing with uncooperative claimants and robust repudiations.

At the end of this event, the delegate will be able to identify:

  • What indicators a claims handler should be aware of when dealing with this type of claim
  • The range of possible outcomes
  • What evidence is required
  • What risk factors are involved
  • The way in which their decisions can impact on the eventual outcomes of a case.
