The Insurance Institute of Cardiff invite you to a CPD breakfast seminar on an Introduction to Financial Position and Viability Review.

The Presentation will cover the following:

The Seminar will be led by Catherine Rawlin and Nicola Elward of global forensic accounting practice, BTVK Advisory.

Catherine has been involved in Forensic Accounting since 1988. She has handled losses of various scopes and sizes for insurers and lawyers in the United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa, USA, Asia and the Middle East.

Nicola has been involved in forensic accounting and financial investigations since 2008. Nicola has handled losses for insurers, re-insurers and lawyers across a wide range of industries and circumstances including business interruption, loss of profit, increased costs of working and subrogation.

Learning Objectives

  • Basic understanding of what a set of accounts could tell us about a company's financial health and viability
  • How financial position review can be used in the insurance / legal world
  • Case study of financial motive review in suspected fraudulent claim.
