Course Overview

The seminar will cover the following items:

Ian will present the Bank of England’s latest forecasts for growth and inflation in the UK economy over the next three years, and what that might mean for the future path of interest rates.

Speaker

The event will be presented by Ian Derrick. Ian joined the Bank of England in 2000 as Deputy Agent at the Agency for Wales, and returned to the role from a year's secondment to the economic analysis area of the Office of National Statistics in Newport in June 2015. Born and schooled in Llanelli, Ian graduated from Cardiff University in Economics in 1989, joining The Royal Bank of Scotland, working primarily in corporate banking and project finance roles in the City of London in the 1990s.

Refreshments will be provided at 9:00am with the seminar starting at 9:30am.
