By attending this course, delegates will be able to identify:

  • Coaching & developing others - Motivating others, role as a coach, coaching styles, GROW coaching process and facilitative coaching skills. Difference between mentoring and coaching. Setting up a coaching/mentoring process.
  • Managing performance - The building blocks of performance management, effective recruitment and selection, goal setting/SMART objectives, personal development plans, ways of reviewing performance and feedback skills.
  • Using your performance process to drive and increase productivity and results.
  • Managing poor performance - Defining causes and impacts of poor performance and conduct, your role and its boundaries, addressing issues, the procedural and legal context, conducting and recording actions and discussions.
