Emotional Intelligence

Overview

We all know people who are in full control of their emotions. They’re calm in a crisis and make decisions sensitively, however stressful the situation. We also know people who can read the emotions of others. They understand what to say to make people feel better and how to inspire them to take action.

People like this have high emotional intelligence. They have strong relationships and manage difficult situations calmly and effectively. They are also likely to be resilient in the face of adversity.

So how emotionally intelligent are you and how can you develop further?

Objectives/Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session you will have an overview of:

  • What is emotional intelligence and how to apply this at work
  • The 5 step Emotional Intelligence Model
  • How to develop your emotional intelligence by applying the 10 habits of emotionally intelligent people

This session is aimed all CII/PFS members with an interest in self-development as well as those leaders and business mentors who are responsible for others achieving their personal and business targets.
