Speakers and presentations:

Harry's session introduces the six principles of effective and persuasive communication that have been well documented by the academic community. The session demonstrates how these principles can be implemented by financial advisers and gives examples of them in use. The session is designed to be highly interactive and the speaker encourages participation by the audience throughout.

Phil will then discuss how clients encounter varying income needs and goals throughout their lives and when investing, certain innate behavioural traits will influence their decision-making. The presentation will cover the key behavioural biases, explaining how these can be identified and tips on how they can be overcome.

Stephen will discuss the key benefits of investing via an AIM Portfolio, and its uses in mitigating Inheritance Tax. The presentation will also focus on some of the misconceptions that surround AIM stocks, and how a disciplined investment approach can be used to not only provide an IHT shelter, but to achieve risk-adjusted returns in its own right.

Duane will cover many different aspects of Junior, or Hybrid, debt including; What is Junior/Hybrid Debt?; Why do Corporates issue Junior/hybrid debt?; How does Junior Hybrid debt behave?; Basel III – the impact to the Junior debt of financials.
