Postponed due to sickness

We’ve seen numerous shocks and events in both financial markets, the Political world and wider economy over the past few years. 2016 saw geo-political risks rise, resulting in the surprise Brexit vote and the even bigger shock election of Mr Trump, while at the same time debt-to-GDP ratios around the world continued to build, and numerous world market set all-new-highs.

Underneath the reported rebound, indicators show that growth is not coming. In fact, in places such as the UK and America, the ‘rebound’ from our recession, this time round, has been far slower than that of Japan’s ‘rebound’ that resulted in the lost decade. We now face a slow down in growth and the challenges of a debt-fuelled economic. This has major significance to all investors and market participants and how clients' portfolios are constructed in the future. The average client in the street, or their Financial Advisor/Wealth Manager, is happy to make hay whilst the sun shines but beware….winter is coming.
