President's Message

Following a fantastic three years of service by Neal Lowe, I am delighted to be your president for the next twelve months. During my time as Deputy, it has become clear that Coventry has a thriving group of professionals within both the Insurance and Financial Services sectors.

My presidential theme is to inspire and promote professionalism within both the CII and PFS Members and ensure we celebrate success. I believe our industry also has a role to play within our local communities and educating the public. I am keen to see how we as an institute can share our knowledge and experience to great effect.

I would like to thank the members of the council for their time and efforts, and we remain committed and focussed to shape the CII and offer support to all our members. We meet most months and always encourage new members to the council.

We will be publishing a series of Lunchtime Lectures on a variety of subjects, and we will be looking to host social events to allow for networking and developing stringer links between our professionals.

My nominated Charity for my presidential year is The Family Holiday Charity. I have personally supported this charity twice running the London Marathon to raise money for their benefit. There aim is to provide holidays for those families who’s Children have never seen the sea and for teenagers who can’t remember when they last saw their mum smile. For parents having to choose between a day out and a new pair of school shoes. For young carers, kinship carers, families facing illness isolation and bereavement. Full details can be found here.
