Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) What, Why and How?

Jeff Heasman is a professional trainer who holds a bachelors degree in law from the University of Glamorgan and a master of laws degree from Swansea University, as well as a postgraduate certificate in teaching English language to adults.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

• Recognise the key provisions of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), so far as they relate to the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID).
• Understand the need to follow the prescribed format for the IPID and know who is responsible for producing and distributing the IPID.
• Apply the key principles of plain language drafting to ensure the IPID complies with the legal requirement to be jargon free.
