The Insurance Society of Edinburgh is pleased to announce that their next event will focus on the topic of the Insurance Act.

It's taken over 100 years but we now have a new statutory backdrop for insurance. Join us for a guide to the things which matter the most and the sometimes surprising possible outcomes.

Learning objectives
By attending this seminar members will be able to identify:

- Key changes made by recent legislation
- The impact on insurers, brokers and insureds
- What steps those parties ought to take to consider

The event will be hosted by Alisdair Matheson. Alisdair is a partner in the Insurance and Risk unit of Brodies top ranked litigation team. His practice consists mainly of litigating on professional negligence actions many of which involve the construction industry. He has almost 20 years of commercial litigation experience and is accredited by the Law Society as a specialist in Construction law and Professional Negligence. He is an active member of the IASG and the CII more widely.
