The Insurance Society of Edinburgh is happy to announce that its next technical CPD event will be a General Insurance update covering the Insurance Distribution Directive and Conduct Risk - to be delivered by Branko Bjelobaba FCII.

This event will provide a key general insurance update on what is proposed with implementation of the Insurance Distribution Directive (in force from next February) and will then focus on Conduct Risk. Branko will give an overview of areas a business should seek to evaluate/improve upon such as: corporate strategy and culture, customer needs/sales strategy, product design/governance, financial promotions, sales and advice/after-sales information, claims and complaints handling, etc.

Learning objectives:
By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:

  • IDD proposals (Professional and organisational requirements (to include the whole distribution chain), Complaints
  • Conduct requirements and Ancillary Intermediaries - these being very onerous for anyone with Appointed Representatives where insurance is a secondary activity)
  • Conduct Risk in key areas for general insurance.

Branko promises the event will be both engaging and entertaining - he has a first class reputation for his expert knowledge on compliance and regulatory matters and their impact on the UK financial services and general insurance industries.

Combining comprehensive knowledge with an engaging and pretty unique presentation style, Branko manages to deliver presentation sessions that inform, enlighten and even entertain (all at the same time).

Many events have been standing room only which continues to perplex him based on the subject matter and having spoken at virtually all CII local institutes throughout the UK he is taken aback by the feedback he gets from those attending events.
