IP – contracts to safeguard your rights and keep you out of trouble

Wednesday, 03 May 2017
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)

We have teamed up with Brodies to offer our next technical CPD event.

Is your intellectual property protected? And are you certain that you are not infringing someone else’s? Is it time to dust off / clear out last season’s IP clauses and embrace the new? This seminar provides a chance to refresh and update your knowledge on how best to safeguard your intellectual property rights (IPR) under contract and avoid liability for infringing the IPR’s of others.

We’ll cover all aspects of contract relating to IP including:

• Ownership;

• How to deal with newly-developed IP;

• Licence terms, warranties and indemnities;

• Limitations of liability, protection and prosecution of new IP;

• IPR infringement as well as control of claims and defences; and

• Brexit and Unitary Patent Court (UPC) implications.
