2:00 pm – 4:30 pm (UK time)

The Insurance Society of Edinburgh has managed to secure Rory Percival and Fiona Tait for our first CPD event of the year.

Defined benefit (DB) transfers is one of the highest priority issues for the FCA at the moment. In this session, Rory will explain the regulatory changes that the FCA brought in 2018 and what he believes the regulator is really getting at with some of its changes. He will also make suggestions for good practice.

Fiona will provide the perspective of an adviser firm, outlining the steps they have taken to comply with the updated regulation and the difficulties faced when revising their transfer process.

Learning objectives:
By the end of this session delegates will be able to identify:

  • The DB regulatory changes arising in 2018
  • Examples of good practice
  • Potential action points for your own advisory process
