WEBINAR: FCA New Temporary Rules for GI (in response to coronavirus)
This comprehensive and interactive one hour webinar will focus on the long list of new temporary rules and guidance now finalised by the FCA for the general insurance sector (apply from 18 May 2020) and is a one-stop-shop for knowing what has to be done in a compliant and timely manner.
It goes in hand with the separate “How general insurance can cope financially as a result of coronavirus” event which looks at the critical financial aspects for intermediaries to enable them to ride out this storm.
Learning objectives - by the end of this webinar delegates will gain insights into:
- Product value reassessment and advice to be provided
- Customers in financial difficulty – what has to be done
- Operational resilience and business continuity
- CPD - opportunity to defer if really needed
- Financial matters
- Senior Managers and a gradual return to work
- Business interruption insurance update
It is relevant to general insurance brokers/intermediaries, their insurers and any other market participants. Joining instructions will be sent out shortly before the Zoom webinar begins and all participants will receive a copy of the presentation after the talk.
Branko Bjelobaba FCII has worked for 32 years across the sector and latterly at PwC and GISC and has led his own consultancy practice for 16 years. He works closely with BIBA (and has published its compliance manual since 2004) and the CII and has provided many well-received (even entertaining!) training events throughout the UK. He is a recipient of the Thomson Reuters Compliance Personality of the Year Award and the London Market People Award for Legal and Compliance.
Since the start of the lockdown Branko has provided over 40 separate events and the feedback has been resoundingly positive as you can see (an event hosted by Vitality):-
“I have had the pleasure of hosting Branko on a live broadcast and what a formidable and engaging speaker he is. To captivate an audience on the subject of compliance and regulation is a challenge F2F let alone virtually and yet Branko has the ability to do both. He is an expert in his field, engaging, energetic and a pleasure to work with.”
This demonstrates the quality of an event and that it meets CII member CPD scheme requirements.
1 hour's CPD can be claimed for this event if relevant to your learning and development needs.
It is recommended that you keep any evidence of the CPD activity you have completed and upload copies to the recording tool as the CII may ask to see this if your record is selected for review. Details of the scheme can be viewed online at www.cii.co.uk/cpd.
