CII Annual Centenary Dinner

Hugs and handshakes were definitely back as we got together to celebrate our centenary annual black tie event.

Our celebrations kicked off with a welcome drink which was sponsored by Jeff Heasman, who is a friend of the institute and regularly delivers CPD training to us. Jeff lives in Spain and has a wine tasting room across the border in Portugal. Working with Jeff we were able to offer a selection of wines to pre-order which he had chosen for us especially. An industry first I believe.

There was a sweet cart and caricatures drawn for the guests before we all sat down to enjoy the delicious four course dinner.

Our president, Claire Lashbrook Dip CII did a wonderful job of keeping the speech interesting, relevant and not too long as she started the evening with a bang as balloons were popped and a surprise weekend away was won by one of the guests.

Special thanks to our sponsors, DWF & The Claims Consortium Group. We were also pleased to welcome David Ross, our guest speaker for his great speech recognising the our Exeter Institutes achievements.

Congratulations to Arabella Ridene-Higos who won the David Grimley Award, which was kindly sponsored by DWF. (Arabella is pictured with Mark Fowles)

The wine flowed, interesting anecdotes and stories were shared and we celebrated achievements. The band kept everyone dancing until late and we can't wait to do it all again in 2023.
