Claims Club: Forensic Investigation – A Scientific Approach

The Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow is happy to announce that their next event will be entitled – ‘Forensic Investigation – A Scientific Approach’.

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will be able to identify the following:

  • General appreciation of how investigations are undertaken.
  • Understand what information is important to the investigation.
  • Assist in the decision-making process as to when to instruct investigators.
  • General interest in worked examples of actual cases.

The seminar will be delivered by Mr Ron Knak, BEng, CEng, MIMechE, an Associate of Dr JH Burgoyne and Partners. After 11 years in the Heavy Engineering sector serving the power and process industries, Ron joined Burgoynes in 2007, for whom he has carried out more than 600 investigations of fires, explosions, personal injuries, mechanical failures, and escapes of water and oil.
