The Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow's CLAIMS CLUB is happy to annouce that their next event will focus on the topic of fraud.

Learning objectives:
By attending the event delegates will be able to identify:

  • The nature of fraud
  • How frauds develop
  • Common fraud themes

The presentation will not focus on any insurance type loss; the focus will be on the wider generic activities commonly manifest in fraudulent activity and raise awareness of the key methods used by fraudsters.

The seminar will be delivered by Derek McKie BA ACII ACILA a Major Loss Adjuster with over 28 years adjusting experience.

Derek has worked with many international adjusters with a focus on fraud investigation and fraud management roles, becoming UK Fraud Director for a major loss adjusting house. Throughout time with his current employer Crawford, Derek has retained an active fraud and non-fraud related major loss caseload and within the last 3 years saw a return to active adjusting as a dedicated Major Loss Adjuster.
