The Insurance institutes of Scotland have teamed up with Think Distinct to bring you a programme of activities to help you develop professionally to advance your career aspirations.

The world of work is evolving faster than ever before. To thrive in what can be a disruptive workspace, requires freshness in thinking and continuous career crafting strategies. No one can know you or your career like you do, therefore, you are the best person to take control, set your direction and optimise the quality of your professional life.

Build a Successful, Happy and Meaningful career on your own terms.

This series of sessions, delivered by Andy Currie (THINK DISTINCT), will be held during March 2021 on the following dates and cover the following topics.

Session 1: Give You Career Juice! (1.5hrs)
Date: Wednesday 21st April 2021 (10.30am – 12pm)

- Assignment 1

Session 2: Make the Most of Your Career (1.5hrs)
Date: Wednesday 28th April (10.30am – 12pm)
- Strategies to Amplify Your Experience
- Professional Resilience: Confidence & Bouncing Back
- Making Agile Career Decisions
- Assignment 2

Session 3: Success is a Team Sport (1.5hrs)
Date: Wednesday 12th May (10.30am – 12pm)
- Build Your Brand
- Build Your Network Intelligence
- Learning, Leadership and Legacy
- Assignment 3

Please note you will need to be available for all three dates.

Places are extremely limited to 16 places - to apply for a place simply fill in the application form available below and answering the three questions posed.

Completed application forms should be mailed to David Irvine (CII) at david.irvine@cii.co.uk by Monday 15th March 2021.

Applications will be reviewed by a working party made up of council members from across all the five local institutes based in Scotland. Please note for members who are not successful we will be keeping a list of candidates to put forward for futures events. We would also encourage anyone who would like to participate but cannot make the dates which are set for these events to contact your local institute and confirm that you are keen but unavailable. This will help us gauge whether there are sufficient participants to enable us to put on subsequent sessions.

Successful candidates will be notified by Friday 26th March 2021.

Biography: Andy Currie

Andy Currie is the Founding Director and Chief Curiosity Officer at Think Distinct, a unique consultancy that helps individuals and organisations develop a productive advantage, thrive and outpace career disruption through high performing Thinking, Learning and Leadership.
