The President and Council of The Insurance Institute of Guernsey request the pleasure of your company at the Annual Dinner to take place at St Pierre Park Hotel on Friday 14th October 2016, 6.45 p.m. for 7.30 p.m., commencing with a complimentary glass of bubbles. The bar will close at 12.45pm.

This black tie event, as well as providing an enjoyable evening, seeks to celebrate and recognise the achievements of Chartered Insurance Institute and Personal Finance Society students. It is hoped that as many members achieving qualification will attend and that their employers will encourage attendance. The evening also seeks to raise funds for the Insurance Charities and the President's nominated local charity which, this year, is the Friends of Anthony Thomas.

After dinner entertainment is to be provided by Alfie Moore. He was born and raised in Sheffield and was an engineering apprentice in the steelworks before joining the Police. He brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat and has written and presented two series of the BBC Radio Four comedy series "It's a fair cop". Alfie was one of the stars of "Show Me The Funny" (ITV) and wrote and presented "Alfie Moore's Almanac" for BBC Radio. More recently he has been featured on The Wright Stuff (Channel 5), Comic Relief, Sky News, BBC Radio 4's Idiots Guide to Crime and Punishment, Bizarre Crime (BBC 3), and Confessions of a Police Officer (Channel 4). His 2015 show "A fair cop stands up" was nominated for Best Comedy at the Buxton Festival and sold out in Edinburgh. Alfie has also supported Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national comedy tours.

Demand for tickets is expected, as in recent years, to be high. The ticket price is £49 per person, exclusive of wine, and is a modest reduction on last year. A table comprises ten to twelve seats. Please note - it is usual for company groups of less than 10 to be mixed on one table, but prior agreement will be sought it this is the case. Attendee details including menu choices Menu can be forwarded separately but must be submitted along with payment no later than 28 September. Payment can be made by bank transfer or by cheque, as per the details included on the form.

Wine must be pre-ordered directly from the hotel. The wine order form Wine List must be returned to St Pierre Park, along with payment (Alexandra Proca aproca@handpicked.co.uk) by 16th September.
