Our September speakers are Jeremy Quick and Caroline Bradley from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.

Jeremy Quick is the Director of Banking and Insurance Supervision and Policy Division. Jeremy joined the Commission in 2007 as Deputy Director of Banking, becoming Director of Insurance in 2011 and Director of Banking and Insurance in 2013. Before joining the Commission, Jeremy worked at the Bank of England, IMF, FSA and Lloyds TSB. His special interest is operational risk. Jeremy is also Chair of the Group of International Insurance Centre Supervisors (GIICS).

Caroline Bradley is the Deputy Director of Insurance. Caroline joined the GFSC in 2008 after a long career in insurance. Having started out as a graduate trainee with a major UK insurer, she specialised as a loss adjuster, then, on moving to Guernsey, she spent 13 years working in captive management dealing with all types of insurance and reinsurance programmes. An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Mrs Bradley is a former President of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey.

Jeremy and Caroline will be talking to us about Insurance Supervision – An International Perspective.

The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel on Wednesday 13 September at 12.30pm. (£11 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £13 for non-members). Please do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not.

Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.

Attendance will provide 30 minutes of Structured CPD under the Chartered Insurance Institute's CPD scheme.
