Our March Speaker is Glen Le Cheminant who is a Senior Consultant for East Harbour Associates.
East Harbour Associates Limited is a Guernsey based management consultancy specialising in strategy, risk and performance management. Glen joined the organisation early in 2017 to help set up a specific GDPR practice, and this has seen significant engagement within the local finance industry since its inception.
Glen has obtained a wealth of IT experience throughout his 35 year career working in both the private and public sectors. The latter years have seen him specialise in Information Security, for which he holds the much sought after CISSP qualification. He also specialises in Data Protection and recently became an EU GDPR Practitioner.
We were fortunate for Glen to give us a lunch time talk last year on The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is due to be taking effect this year. Glen is back to give us an update on what has happened over the last year
Glen will be speaking to us about
Key Learning Points:
- What's happened in this past year since I gave an overview on GDPR
- Some significant breaches....some close to home
- The new Guernsey Law
- Practical feedback and experiences on getting businesses compliant
