Cyber Security and Counter Fraud Controls
According to the National Crime Agency, fraud is the number one crime experienced in the UK. It is a serious, underestimated and sometimes unchecked problem. Unfortunately, businesses do not always consider fraud when conducting their activities. Even when fraud is considered, they can find it difficult to define, measure and articulate the problem without guidance.
Almost all businesses now operate online with their services accessible digitally, resulting in a significant threat of cyber-fraud. This threat could mean anything from a virus affecting how a computer operates, the theft of personal data loss in a ransomware attack or the possibility of an internal threat.
Businesses face the huge challenge of mitigating this fraud, whilst assuring their clients and supply chains that they are taking cyber security and counter fraud seriously.
This webinar is aimed at SMEs within the financial services and insurance sectors looking to improve their own cyber security and counter fraud controls. It will also be of interest to individuals that manage cyber security policies and claims on behalf of their customers and clients.

Craig is a ex Police Detective with the West Mids Police and West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit and spent 20 years of his career within Economic Crime.
Chris Pinder, COO, IASME
Chris has over 20 years in the wider security industry. Here, he worked for the sector trade body and the industry inspectorate. His roles have included promoting innovative UK security solutions to an international audience.
Chris made the move into cyber security 6-years ago when he was appointed security lead for the Worcestershire Growth Hub.
Chris is now IASME’s Chief Operating Officer. In April 2020, IASME became the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) Cyber Essentials Partner responsible for the delivery of their ever popular Cyber Essentials scheme.
Robert Brooker, Head of Fraud and Forensics, PKF GM
Robert is Head of Forensics and Fraud within PKFL/GM and formerly Head of Fraud at Transport for London (“TfL”). He is an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (“ACFS”), Accredited Financial Investigator and Wicklander - Zulawski Non-Confrontational Interview Technique trained.
Robert has led disciplinary and criminal investigations, concerning Fraud, Bribery and Corruption, security breaches, cybercrime, intellectual property breaches and procurement allegations. He has worked in the private, public and not for profit sector within fraud, bribery and corruption, in addition to Fraud Risk Management for over 20 years.
Robert is also Chair of the London Fraud Forum, a public/private partnership dedicated to best practice in preventing, detecting and investigating fraud, bribery and corruption.
