Our June speaker will be Louisa Mace from Guernsey Mind
Louisa joined Guernsey Mind in 2018 and manages the Workplace Wellbeing Guernsey service, presenting the Manager Training, Awareness Training and Listening Training. She is a qualified Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor and this year is extending that to cover the Youth version of the course.
She also runs the ‘Express Yourself’ campaign which uses Arts Sunday and the North/West Shows to encourage people to get creative and be part of community projects.
The lunchtime learning session will give:
- A general introduction to mental health conditions, focussing on stress, anxiety and depression
- How to recognise symptoms in ourselves and others, whilst offering practical tools to help develop positive wellbeing
The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel on Wednesday 23rd June at 12.30pm. (£12 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £14 for non-members). Please do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not.
Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.
Please book your place now, and in any event before 5pm Friday 18th June by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In booking your place(s) please provide your name, company, confirm if you are a member of the IIG or not, and advise should you require a vegetarian meal.
