>> More about our speaker

Susan's background in the auction world started in a provincial saleroom rising to become head of the Works of Art, Ceramics, Silver and collectables department. A chance encounter led to a move into the world of Fine Art insurance becoming a specialist loss adjuster within a multi-national company.

As well as becoming known as a broadcaster for the BBC, Susan established a Fine art valuation business in 2003 carrying our valuations for Sale, Insurance and probate; as well as advising insurers and their representatives in regard to claims involving damage or lost artworks.

Susan is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and currently sits on the Global Fine Arts board. Additionally she is an associate of the Society of Fine Art Auctioneers and Valuers.

Above all Susan believes that collecting and ownership of art and antiques should be a rewarding and pleasurable activity, which she displays with her infectious enthusiasm for her subject matter.
