The Insurance Institute of Inverness, The Highlands and Islands is happy to announce that their next CPD event will cover the topic of professional negligence claims.

The seminar will give an overview of the steps needed to avoid a professional negligence claim, whether you are a solicitor, architect or insurance broker.

Taking worked examples from his experience, Laura Baxendale, Senior Solicitor, Brodies LLP will look at the key factors in any such action and how to approach a claim being made.

  • How breach of duty, causation and loss are linked
  • Common themes in professional negligence actions
  • Steps to be taken to avoid or defend such actions.
