As part of National Money Week, your Council are supporting the CII campaign "Insuring Women's Futures". While this talk is specifically aimed at women, many of the points covered are equally applicable to men and everyone will leave with tips for the future.

Lunch available at 12pm, with the session starting at 12.30pm, close at 2pm

Overview

This talk follows the theme of the CII initiative, Insuring Women’s Futures. The talk is geared towards women & to financial planning professionals, who are interested in learning more about the key issues for women & their future financial resilience. The talk is designed to highlight what women need to know on their quest for Financial Independence.

Learning Objectives

By attending this event, delegates will be able to:

• increase women’s awareness of financial resilience;
• identify key moments that matter in girls/women’s lives;
• highlight perils & pitfalls that aggregate in these moments that matter;
• appreciate the importance/need for Women’s Financial independence;
• discuss & share experiences;
• provide food for thought & hopefully some lightbulb moments.

Speaker Biography

Alison Cooper has extensive experience within the insurance industry in a career that has spanned over 30 years. During the last 19 years, Alison has run ACT One Training Services, a training consultancy, offering numerous courses for General Insurance subjects & Financial Services. Clients include the CII, Lloyd’s of London, ABI, BIBA, Willis Towers Watson, blue-chip insurance companies and academic institutions.

Alison has an enthusiasm for delivering insurance subjects which has been reflected by the successful pass rates achieved by her delegates in professional examinations.

Alison has been a past CII Senior examiner and achieved Fellowship in 2009.
