The Embassy Room, British Hotel, North Quay, Douglas
Friday, 22 April 2016
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)

We are delighted to welcome Bill Lawrence from leading local training provider, TLC Business Solutions Ltd who will give us an insight into how you can build your influential potential.

In this Influencing Skills presentation, Bill will look at why we need influence to make a positive impact upon events around us.

Bill Lawrence was a hands-on manager and leader for 20 years before turning to training full time. After graduation from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he started his career as an infantry officer in the British army, subsequently working for the Ministry of Defence in fields as diverse as operations, logistics, finance, and supply management.

Seconded to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Bill worked in Trieste as an administrator and protocol officer at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics before moving to headquarters in Vienna as a management analyst working directly to the Deputy Director General.

Returning to the Isle of Man in 1996, he worked with Sue to design and build a first-class training department for a major finance company. Now a director of TLC, he leads the more senior-level leadership and management programmes, as well as designing and delivering a range of other courses.
