A refreshing mind-body workout. Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat exercise. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, capable of creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.
It is a safe, sensible exercise system that will help you look and feel your very best. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates also improves flexibility, agility and mobility.

By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movement, you become acutely in tune with your body. You actually learn how to control its movement. All you need is a towel, mat or carpet. Please ensure you have enough room free from hazards. class is suitable for all levels of fitness, alternative exercise options are promoted on the website. The teachers will give individual pointers where necessary.

For the safety of the participants, Harrogate PT have requested that everybody who wants to attend a class will need to complete/sign/agree to the health questionnaire sent upon booking.
