THE RESULTS ARE IN FOR THE ANNUAL GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ 2018 AND THE WINNERS ARE...
22 teams took part in the Institute’s Annual General Knowledge Quiz, held at the University of Leicester on 22 November.
The Quiz has become something of an institution in the Social calendar and it was supported this year by a cross-section of 15 different companies from both the General Insurance and Financial Planning sectors.
There was a Picture Board, featuring famous statues, a “Pointless” Round and an “Impossible” Round, together with traditional rounds on Geography and Places, History and People, Sport and Leisure, Food, Drink, Science & Technology and Art, the Theatre, Music and Entertainment.
In the end the Runners-Up were “Faded Glory” from Turner Insurance Group with a total of 116.5 points. But, the winners, and new Champions were “True Potential” from Glyn Hall Wealth who finished with 120 points, having delivered consistently good scores on all the rounds.
The Wooden Spoons went to………. – well, you’ll just have to check social media to find that out!
A Raffle raised £115 and there was an additional £66 profit from the event itself. A donation of £181 will therefore be made to Insurance Charities.
