COVID-19 Statement

Following the government’s announcement that now is the time for everyone to stop non-essential contact and unnecessary travel, the Insurance Institute of Leicester is reviewing its programme of events. We are considering whether there are digital solutions which can assist.

Our CPD events are postponed. Fortunately, we are coming towards the end of our usual season anyway.

Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 22 April. It will not take place as a meeting. We are considering the practicality of remote attendance and will make an announcement nearer the time.

The Chartered Insurance Institute is postponing April written examination sittings that were due to take place on 20, 21 and 22 April these will be postponed until October, with the exception of RO6 (Financial Planning Practice) and AF7 (Pension Transfers) which the CII is planning to hold in July.

At the current time, in line with government guidance, multiple choice question online examinations at the Pitman Training Centre in King Street, Leicester will go ahead as there are less than 25 candidates at each sitting.

We will continue to monitor and review the situation, in line with government guidance.
