A message from the Insurance Institute of Liverpool Council to our members

You will all be aware of the recent developments regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). As a council our priority is to ensure we do everything we can to protect the health and well-being of our local members. This means following the most up to date Government advice and to mirror the position of the CII centrally.

There will be an impact to the events that we run for our members and we will look to keep you updated on these. For any future events planned later this year we will make a decision on them nearer the time.

The immediate impact this will have includes:

• IIL Games Ten Pin Bowling event 26th March - This was to be the final event of the IIL games. Due to the circumstances we have cancelled this event. We will monitor the evolving situation in regards to whether we can re-arrange this event at some point soon.

• Revision Courses run by Cris Glascow 8th and 9th April – These have been cancelled. We are currently exploring whether we can run the courses remotely and will update everyone as soon as possible.

• The 2020 AGM 22nd April – This has been cancelled. We are currently looking at ways we can still run the AGM but as a conference call or webinar. Further details will follow as soon as possible.

We will continue to monitor the situation and bring you further updates as and when we can.
