This talk relates to a personal journey of running a business and being involved in sales and business development. Sharing some personal anecdotal stories of how to ‘be the difference' and suggesting ideas and ways that insurance companies, brokers, and insurance professionals can distinguish
themselves by having the right people and beliefs at the heart of everything they do.
This talk is aimed at those working in their own business, or in a client facing role. It is also relevant to directors who want to rethink or challenge their company's approach to customer service.

Learning objectives
By attending this seminar you will gain an understanding of:
• how and whether you employ the right people for client facing roles. Do they have the right attributes and qualities?
• how to evaluate situations by using a strong moral compass and humanity by realising that this is what builds your reputation with clients
• how policy wording and compliance are there to support and guide you and your business but cannot replace good judgement and wisdom
• clients' concerns and fears. Putting ourselves in their shoes and treating clients as we would a much loved family member
• offering reassurance and building confidence with clients with our reassurance
• how you can deliver the difference with a personal service driven by strong core beliefs and goals
• helping our clients understand the facts about the VALUE of what they buy as opposed to the COST
• guiding good decisions by being honest about the pitfalls – explaining the reality in order to establish trust and honesty.
