Event Overview
This session will cover the regulatory, legal and ethical issues when considering the use of unmanned covert surveillance in personal injury claims.

Learning objectives
By the end of the session the delegate will be able to:
1. Understand the current position regarding licensing of the UK commercial surveillance sector
2. Understand the legal framework governing commercial surveillance activity in the UK
3. Identify practitioners who promote best practice and gold standard certifications
4. Recognise the value, benefits and limitations of unmanned surveillance

Speaker profile
Sam has 22 years sector experience commencing at operational entry-level culminating in board appointment and eventual acquisition of one of the market leading surveillance and investigation providers to the UK insurance industry. He recently joined the CoventBridge Group as Director of Surveillance Operations (Europe). He is a contributor to the Code of Practice for the Provision of Investigative Services (BS102000) and the Best Practice Guide & Policy on the use of GPS electronic tracking devices recently published by the Association of British Investigators (ABI). Sam is an active member of the ABI and the Association of World Detectives and prior to entering the commercial surveillance sector he was a Royal Air Force Police Special Investigator where he gained specialist qualifications in RAF & USAF covert operations.
