Details/Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding Mental Health statistics in the workplace and in a national setting (briefly I promise)

  • To give you an understanding of the terms associated with mental health.

  • To break down the myths around capability and performance.

  • To discuss the benefits of mental health first aid in the workplace.

  • To finish with a look at our own resilience and how we can focus on it to improve it

Speaker:

Tony Bough is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (the world largest health and safety professional body) and a Chartered Member of the CIPD (HR). He volunteers as a Trustee of IOSH and chairs the IOSH Financial Services Group, a collaboration of H&S practitioners from across the industry. Tony has worked in health and safety for 18 years in a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction and the public sector as well as in the Financial services sector in both banking and insurance. He is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and has delivered talks on the topic across the UK.
