Financial Liverpool - Money Money Money Net-Walking event
Join us on Thursday 12th May for a special early evening guided walking tour of finance and insurance-related historic sites and buildings in and around the heart of the business district of Liverpool city centre. We meet up around 5.30- 5.45pm in Exchange Flags, L2 3YL for some catch up chat and banter then set off on our guided tour at 6pm prompt.
We’ll be led by Margo Storey, Blue Badge guide and member of the British Guild of Tourist Guides. Margo delivers her tours in a warm, entertaining, informative and relaxed style and it’s sure to be a lot of fun. Come and explore with us and learn all about the history of this fascinating part of the city centre.
The tour will take around 90 minutes and we’ll finish off at the fabulous Ma Boyles Alehouse. This historic pub dates back to 1870, firstly as a coffee shop and later as an oyster bar and now as Ma Boyles.
It served the professional traders who dealt fine goods and later established itself as a haunt for the legal and professional services due to its close proximity to the business district. So a very appropriate place to end our fascinating tour where we’ll be served Scouse and Vegetable Curry. A few flagons of ale may also be consumed….
