Matt leads CNA Hardy’s Technology and Cyber risk business unit in the UK and Continental Europe. Managing a team of underwriters, he is primarily responsible for developing and executing a strategy that supports profitable growth.
With over 30 years’ industry experience, Matt’s insurance career began at RSA within the commercial insurance arena, working in a number of roles including underwriting, business development and training, followed by an account manager role at Travelers. Matt has been a regular speaker on technology and cyber risk for 10 years, providing thought leadership and technical direction to various industry wide working parties.

Overview:-

This talk builds on previous sessions on Cyber insurance. With changes to working practices and ever increasing exposures, it’s time to reassess the need for cyber insurance and also what new and innovative ways we are being targeted and can protect against this.
This covers the main issues facing businesses and the type of claims that are covered.

By reference to real life examples, Matt will seek to update on the latest changes in the world of cyber insurance and cyber threat

• The ever changing Cyber attack vectors – where are clients most exposed;
• An understanding of how Insurers help in the event of a loss;
• An understanding of what Insurers ( and brokers ) can do to help clients mitigate cyber threat;
