The use of investment trusts by financial advisers has increased fivefold since RDR, but those firms who use them regularly with clients are still in the minority. This webinar offers a broad view of what investment trusts offer clients, their risks and what to look out for when researching and selecting investment trusts.

Learning objectives. Attendees will be able to :

• Explain the differences between investment trusts and open-ended funds, and what they mean for the investor;
• Describe the main functions of investment trusts in financial planning;
• Identify the key metrics needed to analyse investment trusts, and understand how to interpret them.
