Understanding Personal Lines Claims Handling
This webinar delivered by Alan Chandler one of the leading presenters in the UK looks at what a personal line claims handler would look for in the event of a claim. The webinar explores the importance of early notification of claim by the policyholder, what information a Personal Lines claims handler will typically seek and when they will use an outsourcer. The presentation will also explore the insurers obligations under the Enterprise Act 2016 and why they must settle promptly. Finally, we will explore when a policyholder can approach the FOS over a claim.

IF1 Revision Day
This revision course will cover the key areas of the IF1 syllabus, with time available to focus on particular areas as requested by participants during the session. The programme is designed to be interactive, and includes a variety of exercises and breakout opportunities to embed the knowledge learnt. Within the session, there will be advice provided on exam preparation and technique, and opportunities to practice examples of multiple choice questions. This is an intense revision course, ideal for students who are nearing the end of their studies and preparing for their examination.

This course will explore the element of marine cargo insurance, and how contracts are formed between the seller and the buyer of the goods. It will explore the insurable interest principle and how it differs to a general insurance product due to the nature and operation of this industry. You will determine the variety of products available within the market, along with the appropriate underwriting considerations for each.
