We are pleased to announce that booking for the R08 CII Pensions Update Programme revision course is now open.

This revision course is brought to you with Astute Pensions and the full day course is designed to develop your knowledge of recent pension reforms and an understanding of how the changes impact at-retirement advice, in relation to the R08 programme.

Trainer: Tom Ryan, APFS of Astute Pensions

Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to discuss:
- changes made to the HMRC regime following the mini budget in July; and the taxation of pensions act 2014
- legislative, compliance and reporting requirements for pension schemes and members
- changes and recent developments in pension provision
- changes to the State pension scheme
- changes in the rules for transferring or taking benefits
- key changes in advising clients following the introduction of this new legislation

Trainer Biography
Tom has worked at Astute since March 2015, as the business development and compliance manager. Tom previously worked for the group that owned one of the largest SIPP providers in the UK, as a compliance and training manager, a role he held for 16 years. Tom also serves on the regional Personal Finance Society committee and has done so for the last 17 years. He is currently the education officer for the region. Tom is both a Chartered Financial Planner and a Certified Financial Planner, and has worked in this profession since the late 80s.

Refreshments: Tea coffee on arrival and during morning and afternoon breaks; buffet lunch served.

The course must receive a minimum number of 6 registrations to run. Registrations followed by non-attendance will incur a charge of £20.00 to cover refreshment costs, unless 3 working days notice is given by email to lii.manchester@cii.co.uk you will receive confirmation of your cancellation.
