Speaker biography

Mike Barraclough is a Senior Risk Manager with QBE European Operations and had spent 40 years in the insurance industry in both claims and risk management environment. Mike has spent his career in the heavy engineering/industrial sector, working for two former well known Casualty insurers, National Employers Mutual and Iron Trades as a Claims Inspector and whose exposure to heavy industry is well documented. The last 20 years have been spent with QBE in a risk management capacity who purchased the Iron Trades business in 2000.

Mike holds the Nebosh Diploma qualification and he is a regular speaker and presenter at Iosh Rail Conference, Health & Safety Expo and the author of numerous technical guidance documents for QBE and CIREG.
