We are pleased to announce that WIMINs next webinar will focus on the topic of the gender pay gap.

Are you curious about the gender pay gap and what the facts and figures mean? Then this event hosted by Emma Francis will cover all of that and more.

Learning objectives:
By attending this session delegates will be able to:

  • Understand how the gender pay gap is calculated and what it shows
  • Learn how it’s different to equal pay for equivalent work
  • Hear what Zurich has done to reduce the pay gap
  • Understand how the pay gap calculation can be applied to ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+

Biography: Emma Francis

Emma has been involved in the D&I space since 2013 when she became Corporate Responsibility Manager for Zurich UK and a founding member of Zurich’s women’s network.

Since then she has driven initiatives to reduce Zurich’s gender pay gap and to drive wider diversity and inclusion, including implementing agile working across the UK business, making all vacancies available part-time and as a job-share, establishing Zurich’s schools programme and leading the Insurance industry’s Inclusive Behaviours Pledge.

She has recently completed a secondment as Group Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing for the Zurich Group. As part of this role she drove Zurich’s global approach to gender neutral parental leave.

Emma has worked for Zurich for 20 years and during this time has worked for the Zurich Community Trust, in employee communications, change and project management, and public affairs. Prior to working for Zurich, Emma worked in politics and the wine trade.
