All are invited to this interactive session where we will be hearing career highlights from some high-profile people within the market who have lots to share from their experience in becoming leaders within the sector.

Our aim is to make this an interactive discussion with virtual breakout rooms.

Our speakers:

Pauline White (she/her) – Underwriting Analyst – Real Estate Practice - Zurich

Pauline has been in insurance 39 years, and more recently 7 with Zurich. She specialises in Real Estate and work in the proposition area of London team. She is also delighted to be the Joint Chair of Zurich’s Women’s Innovation Network, a passionate advocate for women in the workplace, and helping all colleagues get the best out of themselves and their career.

Victoria Jewell – Head of Real Estate – McLarens

Vicky entered the insurance industry in 2007 joining Cunningham Lindsey as a claims handler in their London Property Owners team. Having quickly progressed into a relationship management role, Vicky went on to gain an in-depth experience of the market, liaising closely with property owners, managing agents, brokers, and specialist insurers.

In 2018, Vicky joined McLarens UK as Head of Real Estate, where she was tasked with spear-heading the growth and development of the McLarens Real Estate Practice.

Based in London, at the very heart of the property investors market, Vicky oversees both UK and pan-European real estate teams and is accountable for delivery against the exacting standards of this specialist sector.

With a strong focus on service delivery, and an undisputed reputation as an industry leader, Vicky has a wealth of knowledge of bespoke proportions and proven track record of first class account management.

Paula Parslow – Operations Manager – Axa

Paula started work at Royal Insurance in 1988, after being rejected from the M&S Graduate scheme, whose store was next door to the Royal Insurance office in Manchester - her life in insurance began and she never looked back.

Paula spent the first 10 years working in various claims roles before moving to be the Client Services Manager for the RSA team within the Marsh Placement Plus facility.

Her first senior leadership role was in 2003 as Claims Operations Manager for the North Area, RSA, which she did until taking a career break in 2009 to look after three children under 4 years old.

Paula returned to work part-time for a broker after a three-year break, whilst managing child-care and then came back to a full-time career as Operations Manager for the National Trading Centre at AXA Bolton in 2018.

As Ops Manager she is responsible for a team of 60 underwriters who manage in excess of £150M of GWP and look after customers and brokers across the whole of the UK for AXA Commercial.
