    • Amelia Wrighton & Emma Morrisroe, Co-Founders, Suicide & Co.

MIIndful Manchester are happy to announce their next webinar with keynote speakers Amelia Wrighton and Emma Morrisroe from Suicide & Co.

Bereavement in all forms can be traumatic, however suicide often brings a range of added emotions to navigate. In conjunction with Suicide Prevention Day earlier in the week, we have invited Suicide & Co to discuss how we can engage in conversations around suicide-related grief and to explore the support available for bereaved individuals.

Suicide & Co have launched a ‘Conversation Guide’ which is a resource that can help people have better conversations around suicide-related grief and bereavement.

With 1 in 5 people in the UK affected by suicide, this presentation is aimed at everyone to help supporting the bereaved and those bereaved themselves. The presentation aims to provide tangible learnings that you take away with you, and most importantly we hope it inspires and encourages people to engage in conversations we usually find difficult.

By attending this event delegates will be able to:

  • Engage and open a conversation around suicide-related grief.
  • Use a variety of initiatives to spark conversations and encourage open dialogues around bereavement from suicide and mental health more generally.
  • Use the correct language to help communicate how you’re feeling or to help support those affected by suicide.

Suicide & Co are a charity with a passion for helping others deal with the specific type of grief that comes from a variety of personal experience of losing a loved one to suicide.

The charity started with the co-founders Amelia and Emma, who both lost a parent to suicide. With a passion for providing support for those navigating a range of emotions connected to suicide, the co-founders wanted to help open the conversation around suicide and to address the stigma that remains.
