Introducing your New President

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Newcastle upon Tyne is pleased to annouce that Brian Stonehouse has been appointed as President for 2015 / 2016.

Jill Carter who presented Brian with the badge of office has left behind a strong foundation upon which the institute can build during the the years to come. During Jill's tenure as President, the institute have taken steps to attract and engage with young people in the industry culminating with the formation of the CII Young Professionals Group and the launch of 'The Young Achiever of the Year' Award.

The Institute have also achieved CPD Accreditation status for all programmes so members can easily identify the value of each event, that training is delivered to the highest standard and that every event contributes to an individual's CPD requirements.

Brian's vision as President for the forthcoming twelve months is developing our membership network.

He wants to strenghten the relationships with our existing members to provide them with more assistance and to develop new relationships with organisations who have yet to engage with the institute.

Brian is committed to building on Jill's legacy by strengthening the council and developing the Young Professionals Group together with expanding our educational programme in the local area.

Brian's chosen charity is close to his heart, the Royal British Legion. He has supported the charity since he left the forces and the timing of the annual dinner in November will be timely
