How liability can arise in tort

The presentation will be very appropriate for almost everyone working within broking, underwriting or claims, as almost all policies have an element of liability protection and this presentation explores how a policyholder can be held liable in the law of tort.

This presentation will give brokers, underwriters and claims staff more confidence when discussing policyholders liability needs.

All the main torts including negligence, nuisance, strict liability and statutory liability are explored and how each of the main covers of EL,PL, and Products look to cover these liabilities.

The increasing costs of damages is also explored and why many brokers could face hefty professional indemnity claims for failing to advise their clients on increasing their liability limits.
