Webinar - FCA focus on culture and behaviour in General Insurance

Tuesday, 24 November 2020
10:00 am – 11:00 am (UK time)
    • Branko Bjelobaba FCII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner

This comprehensive and interactive webinar will focus on the Dear CEO letter that was published on 4 September 2020 which set out a new supervisory agenda for general insurance intermediaries and will cover FCA expectations, press coverage (incl Bloomberg’s findings), assessment of culture, changing behaviour, the key role of senior managers and how chartered status can help.

The FCA believe that customers are buying unsuitable or poor value products; that insufficient or unclear information is being provided at point of sale and inappropriate sales tactics are the biggest contributors of customer harm and improvements in firms’ cultures, governance and oversight arrangements will ultimately drive the change that they require. This webinar will focus on the culture part of the equation.

This webinar is interactive and participants will be encouraged to debate their thoughts on the route to cultural maturity, motivators and what a good and healthy culture looks like.

Learning objectives - by the end of this webinar delegates will have gained an insight into:
• What the FCA expect;
• What firms can do embrace the challenge;
• Why engagement is essential.

Joining instructions will be sent out shortly before the Zoom webinar begins and all participants will receive a copy of the presentation after the talk.

“Branko's webinars are certainly one of the best. He can present quite a dry and relatively boring subject with such a passion and engages his public constantly. His events have very valuable content and presentation materials are well prepared and comprehensive.”
“Branko has energy and enthusiasm and character which led to an engaging presentation. I would definitely sign up and recommend others do too for other topics/webinars led by him.”
“The content was excellent and brilliantly presented - most enjoyable webinar yet.”
“Very informative and well-structured webinar from a very engaging presenter. Well done!”
