WEBINAR IF1 Revision - Session 1
The North Downs insurance institute are delighted to confirm that we have arranged a full IF1 revision course. This revision course will be spread across two dates. Please book separately on each date.
The webinars will be delivered by Alan Chandler one of the UK's leading insurance presenters. The webinars will be interactive and will include test questions to get the candidates used to the examination format. Delegates will have an opportunity to ask Alan questions on anything they are stuck on and with his wide experience Alan will help provide relevant easy to understand examples.
Session one 9:30 - 12:30, Saturday 13 June. This session will cover the first half of the text. What is risk, types of risk that are insurable, the difference between perils and hazards, the different types of insurer including an understanding of Lloyd's, the role of a broker, different types of roles and representative bodies within the market, the laws of agency and contract, insurable interest, the duty not to misrepresent and fair presentation of risk.

Session two 9:30 - 12:30, Saturday 20 June. This session will cover the second half of the text. Proximate cause, Indemnity, subrogation , contribution, regulation of the industry, ethics, FOS and complaint handling.
