WEBINAR: Developing Individual Mental Toughness

Thursday, 14 May 2020
11:15 am – 12:00 pm (UK time)

The aim of this short session is to give participants an understanding of what mental toughness means and explore the importance mental toughness has on mental wellbeing and personal performance. It will also touch on how to enhance your own mental toughness.

This 45-minute session would cover the following key areas:

  • Defining mental toughness;
  • Understanding why mental toughness is important;
  • Exploring Peter Clough’s model of mental toughness, including some individual exercises that participants can do in their own time;
  • Understanding other factors that impact our Mental Toughness;
  • Understanding how to enhance your Mental Toughness

Q&A session - Given the anticipated number of participants (in excess of 100), we would propose to provide an email address for participants to submit any specific questions in advance for the webinar. We would also provide a facility for participants to submit questions during the webinar which we would cover at the end or issue follow-up responses if time did not permit all questions to be covered. We feel this would provide a more effective Q&A session for participants than trying to manage ‘live’ questions from the group size that is anticipated.
