Guidance and support for Remote Invigilated CII exams

As you may know, the CII has been working to provide options for candidates to take exams remotely, avoiding the need to travel to physical exam centres particularly during the pandemic. Most CII exams can now be taken remotely at a time to suit, and we have been working with our partners PSI to simplify processes and remove technical hurdles that have frustrated some earlier sittings.

If you are an employer - There are a number of things that you can do to minimise the chances of technical hitches on the day of the exam – particularly if students need to use a work laptop. So we have created the attached presentation to give you a full overview of the Remote Invigilation process, and how your IT support team should be briefed to support your candidates with system requirements, firewall restrictions and installation of ‘secure browsers’ which are necessary for some exams.

As a student preparing to take an exam - take the time to raise this information with your employer’s IT support team. Never leave it until the last minute.
